2026 Art Adventures - Summer 2026

Calling all young animal lovers! Join Katie for a fun-filled week of animal-themed art projects. Artists will create Shrinky Dinks, chip clip puppets, air-dry animals, egg carton portraits, toilet paper roll animals, and open-mouth animal drawings while exploring different art techniques and materials. Every day brings a new creative adventure and plenty of take-home masterpieces.

2026 Young Poets - Summer 2026

Young Poets: Meter Masters with Layla

Does your child love words, stories, and creative expression? Join Young Poets: Meter Masters with Layla, an engaging poetry workshop designed to inspire young writers through hands-on exploration of different poetic styles.

Over eight fun-filled sessions, students will discover the art of poetry by experimenting with forms such as haikus, epigrams, odes, free verse, ballads, blank verse, and limericks. Through interactive activities and guided writing exercises, participants will learn how to express ideas, emotions, and imagination while building confidence in their creative voice.

Whether your child is new to poetry or already loves writing, this workshop offers a supportive environment to explore language, rhythm, imagery, and storytelling—one poem at a time.

Water Aerobics w/ Rylee - Summer 2026

Dive into fitness with a low-impact, high-energy workout that's perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Improve strength, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health while enjoying the refreshing benefits of exercising in the water. Whether you're new to fitness or looking for a fun way to stay active, our Water Aerobics classes are for you!

2026 Barn Quilt Classes - Annual 2026

Create a patriotic barn quilt ladder display in this fun two-day workshop! Participants will paint three barn quilt panels and assemble them on a wooden ladder display that can be stained at home. After registering, participants will receive an email from Joellen with a Google Form to select their barn quilt designs. Mix and match patterns from the sample ladders to create a unique piece of décor. All supplies are included. Please bring your own snacks and beverages.

2026 Pool Passes - Summer 2026

 Pool Passes are only accepted for lap swim, open swim, and morning use of the baby pool. Passes are not valid for special events. All changes to the regular daily schedules will be posted at the entrance of the facility. Please review the Pool Schedule for times. All Pool Passes will be issued at the Kingsbury Park District Office, located at 630 E. City Rt. 40, Greenville, IL 62246. Purchasers of pool passes will receive one (1) free Pool Shelter Rental, in addition to a 10% discount off one (1) pool party.

Family Pool Passes include up to 4 passes.  For the purpose of issuing Pool Passes, the Kingsbury Park District defines a "Family," as a mother and/or father/legal guardian, and their children living in the same household. There will be NO substitutions to this policy. Please note that Babysitters are not considered part of the family and will be required to purchase their own passes.

You MUST show your pass when entering the Pool. The staff will not grant admittance without verifying a Pool Pass. Anyone caught using a pass not issued to them will be subject to disciplinary actions.

2026 Horse Back Riding - Annual 2026

All riders must register online. You will receive weather-related closure updates through the registration system.

Beginning January 1, 2026:

$20 per horse (in-district)

$40 per horse (out-of-district)

Horses are not allowed:

On the south side trails accessible from “Irongates”. 

In the cemetery.

Within 30 feet of the pavilion. Tying horses to pavilion posts is prohibited.

North side trail closures for horses:

Closed Dec. 1 – Apr. 30 every year.

During May, Sept., Oct., and Nov., trails close for a minimum of 48 hours if more than 1 inch of rain falls in 24 hours.

Manure must be removed from parking lot, road and grass area around pavilion. It is encouraged to remove manure from trails.  This is a multi-use area.

Horses must be attended at all times.

Allowed gaits: walk, trot, slow canter only.

No galloping or racing.

Please walk horses up and down hills.

No commercial use of trails without Park District permission.

2026 Boat Permits - Annual 2026

Boat Permits 

Calling all Watercraft!  Boat permits are valid for the calendar year, and can be purchased at the Kingsbury Park District Office, all you need is your valid boat registration card. We MUST have this card in order to sell you a permit. Please keep in mind that Greenville's Old City Lake is a trolling motor lake ONLY! For site specific fishing regulations, search the IDNR guide for "Greenville Old city Lake"

Fees:        

Park District Resident - $10.00        

Non District Resident - $30.00

Please keep in mind the Kingsbury Park District is ONLY open Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

When we receive your documents we will mail the boat permit back to you.

2026 Archery Range Waiver - Annual 2026

The newest amenity to Patriots Park.  Found along the East Road the Archery Range boasts 2 shooting stations and targets.  Rules are posted at the Range & can also be found on our website.  All users must agree to follow the rules by completing this registration form.  Registrations are good for one calendar year and you may be asked to verify you have registered by Kingsbury Park District Staff.
